The OLAND system is one of the advanced wastewater treatment systems. It combines the advantage of activated sludge process and bio-film process and integrates both activated sludge process and fixed film rotating biological contactor process.
The Contactor media has mesh structure, which is able to attaches large amount of Bacillus microorganisms on the filter surface. As the filter is rotating all the time, the PVDC filter materials is thermally pressed at the edges and in the middle to have enough mechanical strength to support the weight of the biomass and to avoid material collapse.
Microorganisms in wastewater easily attaches to the surface of the three dimension Saran fibre. The rotating biological contactor type unit with Bacillus as the dominant microorganism is an effective biological treatment process to municipal sewage, industrial wastewater, landfill leachate and food waste treatment wastewater, etc. By inoculating and growing Bacillus in the aeration tank, COD, Oil & Grease, Nitrogen, etc. as well as BOD can be degraded effectively. Bacillus is coexisting with conventional activated sludge bacteria in the aeration tank, and will demonstrate outstanding functions and effects.
